Top 5 Beauty Trends and Tips for the Holidays
Glowing Skin
Often ignored, what you do and don't do with your skin can truly make or break an outfit. What's the point of donning a knock-out strapless party dress when you've got dead skin flaking from your elbows? Two easy steps can make all the difference. Start by sloughing off winter's dry skin by using a moisturizing scrub, like Glow Rescue's Organic Sugar Scrub in peppermint and lavender ($38 for 473 millilitres at BeautyMark [1120 Hamilton Street]). The mix of essential oils, including sunflower, sweet almond, jojoba, macadamia, and wheatgerm, exfoliates skin, while vitamin E moisturizes for a baby-soft, supple feel. Next, lock in moisture with one of three seasonal body butters ($20 each) from the Body Shop (various locations). Spiced Vanilla and Cranberry Joy will leave your skin smooth with a festive scent, while Coconut Shimmer will give your skin an added glow—great for shoulders and arms when you're wearing sleeveless dresses.
Ocean-Inspired Nails
This season's nail trend is all about shimmering oceanic hues. For a bold look, try a lusciously dark blue, such as Ming Blue ($13) by MAC Cosmetics (various locations), or a festive forest green, like Anna Sui's shimmer nail polish in 90 ($15 at Sears [various locations]). If your outfit is colourful enough, glistening shades of silver or gold are also trendy choices. L'Wren Scott created a daring gunmetal shade for Lancome ($16, at Holt Renfrew [737 Dunsmuir Street]), or if you prefer to dip your nails in gold, try Christian Dior's Timeless Gold ($21 at Holt Renfrew).
Retro Hair
With this season's Mad Men –inspired retro fashions, hair naturally followed in its prim and proper, feminine steps. For girls with longer locks, infuse moisture into winter's dry locks with John Masters Organics Shine On ($39 for 118 millilitres at BeautyMark). This organic leave-in product keeps hair smooth and silky, a perfect base whether you choose to wear your hair up or down. Complete a vintage look by trying a modern beehive, which sits lower on the head than its 1960s inspiration, or a low ballet bun is a great way to put statement jewellery in the spotlight. If you prefer to wear your hair down, achieve soft and bouncy waves with John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Dream Curl Perfecter Spray ($9.99 for 200 millilitres at London Drugs [various locations]). For girls with of-the-moment pixie cuts, add playful texture to your 'do with the Body Shop's Beeswax Texturing Wax ($10).
Cat Eyes
Unleash your feline instincts with cat eyes this holiday season. This look can be worn two ways: with defined precision or with the subtle use of shadows. For the classic, black liquid-liner look, try Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($26) or Geisha Ink's Liquid Eyeliner ($30) from BeautyMark. With markerlike brush tips, both products make drawing lines effortless even for the shakiest of hands. If you'd rather stay away from liquid eye liner altogether, achieve cat eyes by sweeping two or three shadows across the eyelids. MAC's eye-shadow duos and trios are perfect for experimenting with different hues. The Illusionary/Burning Ambition duo ($19.50) complements all skin tones with its blend of golden colours, while the Style Influencer trio ($19.50) will let you play with shimmering silver, deep blue, and mauve brown.
Classic Red Lips
Red lips are always in style and a great colour boost to pale winter skin. Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Pur Couture ($30 at Sephora [various locations]) comes in 10 shades of red, from bright orange-red, to vampy maroon. While red lips look great on everyone, paying attention to subtle differences between pigments and finding the right one for your skin tone can really make the colour pop. Those with cooler skin tones should veer towards shades of red that carry almost a blue tone, such as deeper plums. Girls with warmer skin tones should look for bright reds with a hint of orange to complement your golden complexion. If you're making a big statement with the rest of your beauty look, such as trying out the smoky cat eye using a trio of colours, keep the rest of your makeup simple, including your lips. NARS offers two creamy, nude hues that you can layer with your lip gloss, Honolulu Honey and Promiscuous ($24 each at Sephora), to achieve a polished yet subtle look

Celeste Hilling Offers Budget Beauty Tips
Celeste Hilling, CEO and founder of Skin Authority, says beauty can be attained for about $1.50 a day, or about the price of a cup of coffee. Here's how to invest in yourself - at any stage.
In Your 20s
At this age, when you're running around with your friends, going out a lot, partying, and likely living with a roommate or two, keep your skin care routine simple, a basic wash and protect (daily sun protection -- rain or shine) says Hilling. "Just don't fall asleep with your makeup on!" Also, get a workout in every now and then, and watch the diet.
In Your 30s
These are the multi-tasking years, says Hilling. "There's a lot of social stimulation, a lot of changes -- marriage, kids, career changes." That means just one thing: stress. And that becomes a factor for the skin. Furthermore, even if you've taken good care of your skin in your 20s, there's no escaping fine lines and wrinkles (especially around your eyes and mouth) and a complexion that looks blotchy/uneven/dull as cell turnover slows (to 28 days). Be proactive: resurface (that speeds up cell turnover), get facials regularly, introduce anti-inflammatory products to your regimen (Hilling suggests mango, shea butter, and salicylic acid), and practice stress-reduction techniques like yoga, Pilates and meditation. As for your diet? "No boxes or bags! Eat lots of lean proteins, fruits and vegetables," says Hilling.
In Your 40s
Think defense. You're losing more collagen and elasticity. Cells are now turning over every 45 days. Your skin is retaining less moisture. You're beginning to see cumulative sun damage. Your glow, is, well, gone. And you're stressed out -- career, kids, aging parents. To counter: resurface daily, beef up the antioxidants, keep exercising, and consider aromatherapy (jasmine, lavender, chamomile), says Hilling.
In Your 50s
Don't even think about retiring. Sure, you're up against a dry complexion and loss of elasticity (after all, it's now taking 60 days for cells to turn over), age spots, and expression lines that no longer disappear after you stop smiling. Chin up, says Hilling. "It's never too late to have healthy skin; it's just about adjusting the routine." At this stage, as you're perhaps considering using non-invasive procedures (such as fillers) or even surgery to enhance your looks, Hilling says you should also introduce weight-bearing exercise to build muscle mass and strengthen bones, eat healthy foods, and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

Avril Lavigne Gives Shoe Advice
Avril Lavigne recommends covering your feet in body lotion to help them fit into shoes.
The 'Girlfriend' singer was given the tip during a photo shoot and says she now always uses it if she ever has trouble getting into her favourite pair of heels.
She advised: "If you can't get your foot in a high heel, put body lotion all over your foot and it'll slide in no problem - I picked up this tip on photo shoots."
Avril is famed for long-flowing locks and achieve them, she recommends only washing hair every other day to give it a chance to breathe.
She told Now magazine: "I wash my hair every other day as I don't think it's good to wash your hair daily and I always leave in my conditioner for an hour. I also like to use hairspray and serum."
Avril recently launched her new fragrance, Forbidden Rose, and says she thinks it's the perfect scent for any young woman.
The 25-year-old star said: "I've called it Forbidden Rose and the tag line is 'Dare to Discover', which resembles me and where I'm at style-wise. It's young, fresh and floral and the kind of fragrance you can wear during the day and evening.
"This is the first fragrance I've worn all the time and even my friends and sister love it - so much so that we all wear it at the same timeto smell the same."

Beyonce Knowles Beauty Tips
Here are some tips and tricks for looking as great as Beyonce:
- Lack of sleep shows up in your eyes. Beyonce keeps a pair of sunglasses with her at all times for instant glam!
- A dab of gold shadow in the corners of your eyes can help wake up your look. If you have caramel skin, gold is more subtle than white. For lighter skin, try a pearl or nude tone.
- Beyonce layers bronzers for a healthy glow. She loves L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze One Day gel (which she picks up at Walmart) and Scott Barnes Body Bling.
- Makeup primer, followed by powder, keep Beyonce's makeup in place on the red carpet. Waterproof mascara and false lashes help prevent smudging.

Two-Time Gold Medalist, Kerri Walsh Shares Her Bikini Beauty Tips
Since my work wardrobe consists of bikinis, people ask me all the time what I do to feel confident in a bathing suit. Over the years I've learned a thing or two and now that bikini season is in full swing, it's time to share my secrets!
- Fix your skin: Start with a clean canvas. Banish sun spots, redness, fine lines, and prominent veins with products like Murad’s Environmental Shield line.
- Groom please: In my line of work having smooth legs and a smooth bikini line are musts! I spent years waxing before I invested in laser hair removal and it was well worth it. I keep my skin moisturized with Basq Body Oil, a product I discovered when I got pregnant. It is light, clean smelling, and leaves my skin feeling soft and sexy.
- Work your buns: I find that if my buns look good, I'm less concerned about the rest of my body. Lunges, squats, and running are all staples in my fitness routine. I also focus on my core because a strong and healthy core equals a strong and healthy body. I practice Pilates and find that planks are perfect for toning my core while working other key muscles in my arms and shoulders.
- Don't limit exfoliation to your face: Exfoliation is such an easy way to make your skin glow and I swear that getting rid of that top layer of dull skin takes years off. Use an exfoliating glove or product a few times a week and you will look and feel like new.
- Ultimately, it's about what you eat: Drink lots of water, eat fresh leafy greens, and prioritize whole grains. If you splurge on a "no-no," up your intake of fruits and veggies to get back on track.

Sophia Loren's Tips for Ageless Beauty
What many younger viewers may not have realized is that Loren has been noted for her natural beauty for most of her career.
A month before her 72nd birthday in 2006, Sophia was voted the world’s most naturally beautiful person, topping stars one-third her age, such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
At the time, the Italian actress said she owed her natural beauty to “a love of life, spaghetti, and the odd bath in virgin olive oil.” Bathing in olive oil was actually a custom in ancient Rome.
Taking a bath in olive oil may be impractical, but the next best thing is to gently apply some extra virgin, cold pressed olive oil to your face ( avoid getting too close to the eye area) and remove any excess oil after ten minutes.
In other interviews, Sophia has credited her posture for her ageless beauty. She also says she doesn’t do anything that makes her look old, like shuffle when she walks or slump over.
She calls discipline “the great equalizer.”
“If a young woman is beautiful but has no discipline, she will lose her looks as she grows older. If a plain woman is disciplined she will undoubtedly become more beautiful with time,” she says.
She also says to avoid colors that are not flattering for you. “Purple is the only shade I never wear except as an occasional accent. It is too violent a color for me,” she says.
Loren also claims to never have had plastic surgery, and rejects the notion that women must fit some unnatural ideal of beauty.

Easy Beauty Tips for Busy Women
Every woman desires to be beautiful and have a great figure. But more often than not, the demands of family life and our hectic schedule leaves this desire unattended.
As a celebrity and working mother, actress Brooke Shields leads a busy life trying to balance family and a successful career. To help her look and feel her best without compromising her health, Brooke works with a team of experts who provide her with expert advice and tips. And now, for the first time, these tips are available to women across America.
Brooke's Healthy Upgrade Team consists of three women who have mastered the art of balancing health and beauty in Hollywood. Jeanne Yang, celebrity beauty expert, Stacey Griffith, celebrity fitness trainer, and Dr. Michele L. Dozier, an established and highly qualified dentist, know that busy women need simple beauty tips which don't involve extra time or money. Their celebrity insider secrets are now available at www.ColgateTotal.com.
Yang, credited with the transformation of Katie Holmes, recommends every woman carry a bottle of jojoba oil to moisturize her fingernails and cuticles. Jojoba oil can also be used to help sweep hair up into a quick ponytail or bun for a polished look on a hectic day.
Griffith advises women to exercise while doing regular household chores. For a good bicep, tricep and pectoral muscle workout, grab a soapy sponge and make tiny little clockwise circles in the sink. Increase the pace and make larger circles as you clean. Switch hands, rinse, and repeat. Not only are the arms toned, but that sink is ready for the next cooking project as well.
Dozier knows a white smile makes for a younger-looking face, but she doesn't want women to neglect the health of their mouths.
"Take a break from tooth-staining antioxidants like blueberries and cherries," she says. "Instead, try oranges, pineapples and kiwi fruits which are rich in antioxidants, but less-likely to stain your teeth."
In addition, Dozier recommends using a toothpaste that protects against plaque, tartar build-up, and gum inflammation and has a whitening ingredient. Colgate Total Advanced Whitening has a 12-hour germ-fighting formula and an advanced whitening silica system that helps remove surface stains for a brighter, healthier smile.
"Women are always looking for ways to better themselves, and if we can help them to do so, then we feel accomplished," Dozier says.

Beauty Tips to Dazzle this Christmas
Firstly lets explore how to get a cleavage to die for, without the aid of an expensive and painful boob job. Some of the bras out on the high-street are really great value and what's more, give you all the support and lift you'll need to create the illusion of bigger boobs.
Once you've been fitted with a killer cleavage bra, draw a line between your boobs with liquid concealer and blend outwards. The highlighting will create shadows, which will ultimately make your boobs look bigger. Don't go mad with the concealer though, otherwise you could end up with some tell tale make-up stains on your dress.
Next, how about plumping up your pout, without the use of collagen? Nothing says sexy like a pair of lips that look defined and plumped up against the rest of your look. There are plenty of lip plumping lipsticks out there from as cheaply as £1.99, but if you want to be even more clever, then why not invest in some cinnamon oil?
No, we've not gone mad! cinnamon oil is the ingredient present in most lip plumping glosses, so why not skip the expense and head to your local health food store and pick up a bottle. Simply dab on to your lips and let the magic begin...
Dry shampoo is also a party fave at this time of year, especially if you have to go straight from office to party with no time to glam up. Simply spritz onto your hair, leave for a few minutes and then brush or comb out and style as normal.
Lastly, why not protect your feet this hectic party season with a celebrity favourite, Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream? At £20 it's a bit pricey but it's a cream that can be used for pretty much anything including your lips, brows and cheeks at a highlighter.
In this instance, simply rub some onto your heels before slipping into your party shoes to help prevent them rubbing. The cream should act as a barrier between your heels and your shoes, so fingers crossed you can dance the night away minus that pesky blister pain.

7 Low-Cost Beauty Tips to Reverse Aging
- STOP THE CAFFEINE
This is a tough one. But according to Dr. Rey, caffeine gives us cellulite and prevents our bodies from absorbing vitamins. "Fifty-two percent of all Americans are addicted to caffeine. Caffeine is like cocaine in the 1920s. Reverse the trend. We don't need crutches." But he offers a suggestion (and it's a fun one): Eat dark chocolate, as close to 100 percent cacao as you can, to help control the urges. - IF IT DOESN'T MOVE, DON'T EAT IT
This could be Dr. Rey's favorite motto. Forget ice cream, bread and pasta and concentrate on food that once moved on land and water or swayed from a tree: turkey, chicken, fish, apples, corn and other fruits and vegetables. "That's why I can't write a book, it would be one page long: Do not eat s--- that doesn't move!" - EXFOLIATE WITH HONEY
Put honey (a natural humidifier) and brown sugar into a bowl, microwave it for five seconds and leave it on your face for 10 minutes. It's a clay mask that tightens your face. - SLEEP ON TWO OR THREE PILLOWS
Dr. Rey says believe it or not, this will make dark circles go away: "If you sleep flat, the vessels in your face will pop." Rest your shoulders on the pillow as well, so you won't strain the neck. - SLICE SOME CUCUMBERS AND PLACE THEM ON YOUR EYES AND CHEEKS
This is an oldie, but these bad boys work as a natural astringent and will penetrate the tissue and break up the pigment to prevent puffiness and get rid of darkness. - KEEP TWO SPOONS IN THE FRIDGE
This is a quick fix if you have an important meeting and need to get rid of the giant bags under your eyes: Put the refrigerated spoons on your eyes for 10 minutes. Wet tea bags, although slightly more gross, will do the same trick. - SLEEP ON YOUR BACK, NOT ON YOUR FACE
The pressure will wrinkle your face and your breasts.

15 Best Bridal Beauty Secrets
1. Fix an eye makeup mishap.
Be extra careful -- once you've already smudged, you don't want to make it worse or you'll have to start all over again from scratch. Scott Miselnicky, executive director of global product development at Clinique, suggests wetting a Q-tip with makeup remover and gently dabbing at the mistake until it's completely gone. Go slowly so you don't take off too much!
2. Avoid Shirley Temple curls.
Pageant-perfect curls are a bride's worst nightmare. For a natural look, wrap a section of hair around the outside of the barrel and hold for three seconds. Release and let cool, then lightly run your fingers through your hair. And don't forget -- vary the size of your curls, and switch up the direction in which you wrap them.3. Fake a great pair of cheekbones.
"If you're face is roundish, shading lightly can work wonders!" says Lucy Baldock-Sacchi, international makeup artist and founder of Lucy B. Cosmetics. She suggests using a matte bronzer just below your cheekbones, then following up with a pink or peach blush on the apples of your cheeks. To tone it down, skip the bronzer and use a hint of shimmer on the highest point of your cheekbones.
4. Flatter your face.
When it comes to choosing a hairstyle, all of our experts emphasize that your look needs to harmonize with your gown. Also, make sure to choose a style that will bring out your best feature, explains Jamal Hammadi, celebrity hairstylist and founder of Hamadi Beauty. "For an updo, placing the style between the top of your ear and the top of your eye (like a high ponytail) will enhance the shape of your eyes, while placing it lower (like a chignon) will put the focus more on your lips and neck," he says.5. Stave off a breakout.
Right before the wedding is not the time to try out a new skincare regimen. No matter how tired you are, make sure you stick to your cleansing schedule and remove your makeup before you go to bed! If you really need more ammo, try a mask with salicylic acid.
6. Apply perfect foundation.
It only takes two tools to do this right: a quality brush and a makeup sponge. The brush will give you coverage, while the sponge will blend away any streaks or remove excess buildup.
7. Pull off a bold lip color.
Lots of brides like to amp up their look for the reception, and a deeper lip hue is a great way to do it. "Using a brighter lip color will always make your teeth look whiter; a big plus on your wedding day!" says Stila makeup artist Sarah Lucero. Keep all the rest of your face relatively neutral, and your eye makeup soft -- not severe. "Also, make sure your cheek and lip colors are in the same color family," she says.8. Get voluminous locks.
Even if you're not going with a curly style, a curling iron or rollers should be in your repertoire. "Blow out your hair with a round brush for body, then follow up with a curling iron all over," explains Edward Tricomi, co-owner of Warren-Tricomi Salons.
9. Apply alluring eye shadow.
Eye shadow color trios and quads can be difficult to decode: How do you know where to use each shade? According to Baldock-Sacchi, it's perfectly fine to break the rules and experiment. If you want your eyes to look wider, she recommends using the lightest shade on the inner corner to give your peepers a more open look. Shimmering shades can be used all over and look amazing layered over color. The darker shades should be used for contouring in the crease or the center of the lid.
10. Keep your lipstick on your lips.
Miselnicky suggests applying a small amount of vaseline on to your teeth to keep lipstick from winding up on your teeth. "Also, gently blot your lipstick with a tissue after you have applied it to remove any excess," he says. "Believe me, the groom will be happy!"11. Fight the frizzies.
"Always try to wash and rinse your hair with cool water, which will help maintain its natural moisture and prevent your hair from drying out," Hammadi says. Follow it up with a frizz-fighting product that will boost your protection level.
12. Make mascara run-proof.
Waterproof mascara is a wedding day must-have. "I use waterproof on everyone involved in the wedding party because you never know who will tear up!" Lucero says. For lower lashes, she recommends applying mascara with a flat eyeliner brush rather than the mascara wand. "This trick prevents smearing under your eyes, which can make you look tired," she explains.
13. Boast a beautiful decolletage.
You want your chest and shoulders to have clear, glowing skin -- especially if you're wearing a strapless gown. Debbie D'Aquino, vice president of global product development at Clinique, recommends wearing clothing that breathes and keeps perspiration from building up on your skin (this goes double for workout wear). Cleanse with a treatment that includes salicylic acid. We love ones that come in spray bottles because it's so much easier to apply to the back.14. Prevent dark under-eye circles.
It might be tough, but Diane Berson, M.D., says it's key that you get plenty of sleep (and not just the night before the wedding). "Sleep with your head elevated on a pillow to reduce puffiness, and try not to rub your eyes," she says. It's also a good idea to use an eye cream that brightens as well as hydrates.
15. Touch up your makeup.
You may not have time to redo your makeup before the reception starts, but you should give yourself a quick once-over in order to make sure you stay looking great (after all, nearly every second of the reception will be photographed!). Makeup expert Francis Roman of Butterfly Studio says to skip blush (which should last just fine) and your eyelids (too risky). Instead, apply another layer of lip color, and blot your T-zone with an oil-removing paper. Then run a makeup sponge or a Q-tip beneath your lower lashes to remove any mascara or eye shadow that may have smudged or fallen beneath them, and you're good to go.

Get Regular Facials
General skin exfoliation provided by good facials, removes dead skin cells from your face and makes your skin glow. Choose a good salon and start getting facials every 5 weeks from now until the wedding day. (Do not get a facial on the wedding day though - your skin may appear abnormally flushed.
Get Regular Manicures
Regular manicures help to keep your hands and fingernails in good condition. Ask about exfoliation treatments for your hands as well. Hand exfoliation treatments leave the skin smooth and beautiful.
Book a Stylist and Makeup Artist
Book a hairstylist and makeup artist for your wedding day. Be sure to do this a couple of months in advance and go in for a trial run a couple of weeks before the wedding.
Get Your Hair Cut and Colored Weeks Before the Wedding
Have your hair cut and colored two to three weeks before the wedding. To avoid the new cut and color look (as well as added stress), have your hair cut and/or colored a couple of weeks before the wedding.

- A skin and nail care plan should be started about 6 weeks before the wedding.
- Talk to your beautician about having regular facials and manicures.
- Don't get too much sun before your wedding. Sunburns and peeling skin shouldn't sabotage your wedding day.
- Consider Spray-on-tanning , a 100% natural way to achieve a tan. Ask Cristina about Golden Tropics Spray on Tan.
- Don't forget the importance of Body-Mind-Spirit. What's going on inside is just as important to looking good. As you know preparing for a wedding is very stressful and if you are not looking after yourself by not getting enough sleep or not eating properly it will without a doubt show on your face!
- If you are really stressed out consider having a relaxing massage once a week for a month and also a day before the wedding. Burn some relaxing essential oils around the house to help calm your nerves.
- If you are having trouble sleeping try Valerian tea before going to bed, available from most health food shops.
- When you have chosen a make-up artist, organise a trial around 1-2 months before the wedding.
- It is a good idea to have your bridesmaids with you to give their input and also advise what kind of look they want themselves.
- Have pictures from magazines to show the make-up artist various looks that appeal to you.
- Mention if you have any skin problems or allergies etc or if there are any particular ways you wear your make-up.
- If you are having a day-time wedding it is ideal to organise the trial during the day as this will give you a better idea as to how the make-up will look.
- Having pictures of the dresses will give the make-up artist a starting point for designing the perfect look for you and your bridesmaids.
- Fabric swatches of the wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses and a description of the flowers will also help when choosing colours. The colours should compliment both the dress and the flowers.
- The style you choose for your wedding make-up will ultimately depend on your personal preference, but there are some other factors to consider:
- The time of the ceremony -is it a day or evening wedding? A lighter, more natural look is more suited to a day wedding and a more dramatic look is suited to an evening one.
- What time of year is your wedding? If you are having a Spring/Summer wedding, go for bright, pastel colours. Warm, deeper shades will lend themselves well to a winter wedding.
- Your skin tones and hair colour? There are two colour palettes- warm or cool .
- If you are Blond or fair skinned, cool tones of grey, blue, soft pink and lilac are ideal.
- If you are brunette or olive skinned, warm neutral tones of brown, taupe, burgundy & red are more suited.
- Remember your make up should be a little more dramatic than your everyday make-up as you can tend to look pale and wash-out in photos if your make-up doesn't stand out.
- Foundations with yellow undertones work best with flash photography.
- Keep away from shimmer highlighters as this look will not show up well in photos and give a reflective shine.
- Use a light dusting of translucent powder to prevent any unwanted shine.
- Ask your make-up artist to use a bronzing powder to warm your skin tone and give a natural glow. Place on areas where the sun would naturally hit e.g. Forehead, cheeks and bridge of nose.
- Blush- use more than not enough.
- The eye-area should be soft and natural with no heavy, dark lines.
- Keep away from up to the minute eyeshadows and make-up trends as you will regret it when you look at your photos in years to come!
- Use a brow pencil slightly darker than your hair colour and avoid heavy, dark shadows.
- Use a lip-liner the same colour as your lipstick and avoid a noticeable or dark lip line.
- The colour on your lips will depend on whether you are a warm or cool colour palette (see tip 5).
- It is more flattering to define one area i.e. If you want dark, defined eyes, go for a lighter lip shade and if you want dark/bright lips go for natural, light eyes.
- Ask your make-up artist to arrive as early as possible and allow plenty of time to get the job done. The last thing you want is to be rushed on your wedding day.
- Ask your mum or one of your bridesmaids to carry a powder compact, tissues and lipstick for touch ups during the day.
